Counting down to our Autumn Collection and we are thrilled that regulars Trudy and Charlie from Little vintage are joining us again. Trudy always has an eclectic mix of furniture, gardenalia and decorative homewares. Trudy's style lean's towards French chic and highly useful and beautiful interior pieces that are always snapped up quickly. Images show a snippet of her style and these are past collections and serve to show what to expect. We never know what will be there on the day and that is all part of the excitement. Visit with an open mind and you will find lots of temptation. My pennies are saved to shop large with our lovely independents. I never imagined ever being a shop keeper. I never looked for it. It found me, the day after losing my best friend, Rupes. It may seem strange to some to view dogs as friends but in my world they are just the best. It really was fate but here I am approaching my fourth festive season. Being shop keeper is the loneliest of places at times and the most wonderful at others. I thought today would be very quiet as it has been a bit of a roller coaster this year with money seeming tighter than ever. In the end it turned out to be a special day with lots of lovely people sourcing thoughtful gifts. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It is really appreciated and almost every penny is poured back into the business, sourcing beautiful cards and gifts, any spare cash is used to support my daughter through Uni. I can't race to the bottom in order to find custom and offering the cheapest option does nobody any favours in the end. Thank you to everyone that loves to gift beautiful and considered things. I set out with the approach to try my best and if it fails then it fails. Trying and failing is far better than never trying. I never imagined I would still be here so thank you so much for your support and the kindest of words. I really needed today xx

Time is rapidly disappearing into the ether and our Autumn gathering will soon be here. Details are pinned and here is a little tease of the kind of things to expect. Our exhibitors always go that extra mile to find the most gorgeous trove and somehow manage to squish it all into their vehicles and often travel from afar to join us. Wayward Rose, owned by Su and Gary are based in Norfolk so it is quite a treat that they bring their gorgeous French finds to our corner of East Yorkshire. Expect perfectly curated displays that include rustic and painted furniture, decorative antiques, brocante finds, garden accessories, French soaps, ancient textiles and much more at our Autumn Gathering. For those that dream of slow living, those that love the perfectly imperfect, those that love a piece with a story to tell, the quirky one off finds that offer a glimpse into the past. I love the timeworn pieces, the patina on furniture and handstitched repairs in textiles. We are counting down to a very special Autumn Collection so keep tuned to see who is joining us. I am over the moon that beautiful Jo from Lola Pearl Vintage is back with us. Those that are familiar with Jo will know that she adores French & Italian interiors. From exquisite textiles that she loving repurposes, to candlesticks, mirrors, lighting and so much more. Jo has the eye for interiors and loves to source irresistible timeworn furniture, decorative antiques and those one off stylist pieces. She also offers a number of beautiful French & Danish magazines and interior books for those looking for inspiration. We can't wait to welcome Jo and her gorgeous trove.

Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been busy with dried flower wedding orders and generally distracted with flowers but I don't think I will ever tire of them. Thank you to the lovely people that have chosen me with the most important day of their lives. It is really appreciated and I love every minute of the process. In other news I will be putting my mind to our gathering this autumn and we have a lovely full house of your favourite exhibitors and I can't wait to introduce them shortly. I would also love to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone that has purchased from my happy Place. Yesterday felt as though Christmas had arrived early. One of our posh Botanical candles is heading to Utah and I can't remember what is heading to Australia and Africa, it all seems a blur now, but what a day. Every penny helps to pay my bills and support my daughter through Uni. Thank you so much xx
