🌸 You’re never too old to learn something new… 🌸

Today I had the absolute honour of teaching Lilha aged 92, how to arrange flowers. 💐

Lilha wanted to make a funeral spray to take to the cemetery tomorrow, as tomorrow would have been her and her husband’s 72nd wedding anniversary. ❤️

And what made it even more special? Every single flower came from Lilha’s own garden. 🌿🌸

To help her create such a personal and meaningful tribute to her husband was a real privilege. There was something incredibly special about using flowers she had grown herself to honour the man she had shared so many years with.

Today was also a lovely reminder that you’re never too old to learn, create and enjoy flowers. 🌺

Whether you’re 9 or 92, if you’d like to learn, I’d be delighted to teach you.

🌸 SOME BOUQUETS ARE MORE THAN JUST FLOWERS… 🌸

I was asked to creating the wedding flowers for Hannah & Billy.

I knew it was going to be a special wedding… but when I arrived at their home and saw what they had created, I was honestly blown away. 🤍

A beautiful marquee, the most incredible setting, and every single little detail thoughtfully planned and beautifully done. It was one of those weddings where you could feel the love in every corner. ✨

But then came Hannah’s bouquet…

She wanted a huge, dramatic cascade — long, flowing and full of flowers. 🌿🌸

But there was something else she wanted me to include.

Hannah had sadly lost her much-loved horse, and she asked if I could incorporate some of the hair from his mane into her bouquet, allowing it to fall gently amongst the flowers.

And that’s when this stopped being just a wedding bouquet.

It became a little piece of someone she had loved, carried with her as she walked down the aisle. 🐴🤍

I remember how special it felt creating it. Knowing that amongst all those beautiful flowers was something so precious and personal made this one of those bouquets that stays with you long after the flowers are gone.

Hannah and Billy, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting The Little Flower Pod to be part of your wonderful day.

It was a privilege, a pleasure and an absolute honour. 💐

And looking back now, I still think of that beautiful bouquet and the very special story woven through it.

✨ Exciting News! ✨

I’m absolutely delighted and honoured to share that I’ve been invited back for my second year as a judge for the flower arranging competition at the Black Isle Show. 🌸💐

It really is a privilege to be asked back, and I’m looking forward to seeing all of the beautiful creativity, talent and hard work that goes into this year’s entries.
