✨ TOUCH OF GLASS – WEEK 3 ✨
We’re already halfway through our Touch of Glass course at CLASP, and things are really starting to come to life! 🥰
After lots of practice cutting, grinding, copper foiling and soldering, this week we’ve moved on to designing and working with beautiful coloured glass. 🌈
Everyone has decided to create their own designs, which I absolutely love — it means every piece will be completely unique and reflect the person who made it. ❤️
It’s lovely to see confidence growing too, with everyone becoming more comfortable with the tools, sharing ideas and helping each other along the way.
I’m really looking forward to seeing these designs go from drawings and pieces of coloured glass to finished stained glass creations over the next few weeks. ✨
Watch this space… I think we’re going to have some beauties! 👀😍

✨ Our 6-Week Copper Foiled Stained Glass Course is underway... and there's still time to join us! ✨
We had a fantastic first session yesterday, where everyone began their introduction to the highly skilled art and trade of copper foiled stained glass.
The first class was all about getting to know the specialist tools and equipment, learning safe working practices, and beginning to develop the skills and techniques that will be built upon over the coming weeks.
Over the next five weeks, participants will learn traditional stained glass techniques including:
🔹 Glass cutting
🔹 Glass grinding
🔹 Copper foiling
🔹 Soldering
🔹 Finishing and polishing
Each participant will create their own beautiful stained glass sun catcher, while also working together on a collaborative stained glass piece that will be gifted to CLASP as a thank you for supporting this course.
The best is yet to come! As everyone's confidence and skills grow, I'll be sharing lots of photos of the amazing work being created over the coming weeks. I'm excited to showcase each person's progress and the beautiful finished pieces they produce.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of facilitating a Copper Foil Stained Glass Taster Session for a very special lady’s hen party.

What a fantastic afternoon it was! Twenty wonderful ladies took on the challenge of learning the copper foil process, and I'm so proud to say that every single one of them completed their own stained glass keepsake to take home.
As well as creating their individual pieces, everyone also made a small stained glass piece that will become part of a larger collaborative gift for the bride and groom. I'll be soldering all of these onto photo frames to create a unique handmade wedding present filled with love from all of her friends. 🥰
It was definitely one of my biggest workshop challenges to date, but with lots of teamwork, concentration, laughter and a great atmosphere, we got there! Seeing so many happy, proud faces at the end made it all worthwhile.
A huge thank you to Jon Stevenson for helping me facilitate such a large group—it certainly made the day run much more smoothly.
There are plenty more photos to come over the next few days, including the finished collaborative gift, so watch this space! ✨💛

A little milestone I'm proud to share

I've successfully completed my Professional Development Award in Mental Health Peer Support.
Every new skill and experience helps me grow, both personally and professionally, and supports the work I do through Unique Reflections by L'Aura.
Here's to continuing to learn, create and make a difference.

A Touch of Glass with Laura Stevenson is bck!
