Good morning!
You won’t find me at HebCelt this weekend… not because I don’t love the festival, but because as a tiny one-woman business I simply can’t justify the eye-watering cost of a trader pitch.
It’s a real shame, because events like HebCelt are such a fantastic opportunity to showcase the incredible local artists and makers we have here in the islands. It would be wonderful to see more affordable spaces that genuinely support small local businesses rather than pricing so many of us out.
So instead, you’ll find me at Stornoway Town Hall Market today with lots of prints and cards, and I’d absolutely love to see you there. Every purchase from my little stall makes a genuine difference to my small business, and I really appreciate every single person who stops by for a browse or a chat.
If supporting local island artists and makers is something HebCelt Festival would like to explore in the future, I’d be more than happy to have a conversation about how more local creatives could be given the opportunity to take part.
