Sad news announced yesterday 💛

Thank you for everything Mr Usborne

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our beloved founder and chairman Peter Usborne CBE. Peter passed away peacefully this morning surrounded by his family.

Peter was an exceptional publisher, an inspirational leader and a lovely man. He will be incredibly missed by his family and everyone here at Usborne.

Nicola Usborne, Peter’s daughter and Usborne’s managing director said “My dad always felt that he’d had the absolute best life, and that publishing for children for 50 years was the greatest privilege he could imagine.”

😍 So I’ve had the best weekend meeting a bunch of like minded, amazing ladies for the first time in real life! They’ve been part of my Usborne journey for the last 2+ years over zoom and FaceTime and today I got actual hugs! 😍

💡We’ve spent today sharing ideas, supporting each other, lots of laughing, (little bit of crying!) and making plans for what each of us want from our bookshops in 2023. It’s been so inspiring and so exciting! 🌈

🌍 Since I joined Usborne, the world and my world have completely changed but I’m finding ways of still making it what I want it to be. If you want to find out more about what Usborne could be for you then let me know 💛
