Local views are great in Ambleside today ..... Cumbria all over in Spinning Jennies Farm Shop, Hayes Garden Centre .... made here or supplied by local independents and accompanied by other Great British goods.

Alongside much of this in Kendal's Spinning Jennies there is also local luxury handmade ice cream and local roasted coffee for takeaways side by side with Beryr Useful lifestyle goods and POW Pots.

It is a Game Tuesday - Venison, Wild Boar, Pheasant, Rabbit medallions, sausages, burgers .... and other quick meal solutions filling the fridge from delivery this morning. And the sun also rises - even on a wet rainy day local suppliers are making sure that the shelves are filled with goodness in Kendal's Spinning Jennies. Lakes Brew Co are cutting a really colourful vibe with some summer ranges. Claire's Handmade colourful jams & chutneys packed full of flavour won't stick around long. POW Pots are cheering up any thunderous downpour blues. Ortigia perfumes are wafting the way to Italian sunsets. And in the Berry Useful shop, everything says live life in all colours of the rainbow indoors and out. Live life, love life, whatever the weather.🙂🙃🍾

Meet the Pye's - the fabulous, retired (but working hard still!!!!), sheep & dairy farmers, Paula & Andrew, behind Beckside Honey. Jars are flying off our local honey's shelves in both Kendal and Ambleside Spinning Jennies and for every good reason. Simply delicious, absolutely pure honey, the work of 60,000 bees per hive across over 60 hives here in honeypot of the Lake District . Their honey is particularly local to Hayes Garden Centre, with many hives on Coniston and Windermere so no doubt some of the bees have had a nibble at the flowers in abundance here too 😄🌺🤣

We've got you - cherries bigger than usually seen in England, fresh Corn on the cob, Heritage Isle of Wight Tomatoes, fresh Beetroot in 3 colours, Necatarines, Apricots, Pomegranates, Appleby Cheeses, Basecamp Spatchcocks & easy cooks, Cartmel Valley gamey sausage & burgers........... always colourful, never boring in Spinning Jennies Farm Shop. Find us in Hayes Garden Centre near Pavers and where the Weber BBQ store was (our neon sign leads the way)!

Today we are SUPER EXCITED - the Farm Shop signs are up there for all to see from the A591 at Hayes Garden Centre. Epic!!

Inside the More? Artisan Bakery breads arrived for the day, soon the new range of sausages (and more...) and smoked salmon should arrive too. We added a third Focaccia to the very popular range and a couple of new cobs and bloomers, plus baguettes for this weekend.

Meantime over in Kendal Sandra has all the Dales meats and sausages this week whilst our Basecamp North Lakes range is racing off the fridge shelves here in Ambleside.
