Collar and collar band done and attached to shirt …. It ain’t pretty, it ain’t centred and it ain’t perfect…. But it’s on and surprise surprise my pattern matching is off …. Just like all the other pieces!!
But, as this is only the 2nd collar I’ve done, it’s wearable 😂
Got to tackle the sleeve ‘vent’, cuff and insertion during the week then the dreaded buttonholes …. Then it’s done and as it’s beautifully warm brushed cotton I expect the weather to be glorious from the second the final button is stitched on 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

for crying out loud....being a good little seamstress and pre-washing my lovely new fabric...with a 'colour catching' sheet (just to be on the safe side...my machine has been misbehaving recently) only to find 5 mins into the cycle that one of the paddles has come loose and is rattling around in the drum....the metal drum spokes it has come detached from just better not damage that fabric!!!! last time a by 'hotpoint' ... ggggrrrrr

been a busy few months here, far more 'craft' than 'art' on the go (and home decorating!) still....got a WHOLE DAY of life drawing to look forward to on 16th April...I CAN'T WAIT !!! :-D

had more of a 'craft' few months here in the Grungystudent house (if knitting is defined as a 'craft' :-) ) I've actually knitted a jumper for my little sister but forgot to take a photo of it...and I've a beautiful fluffy white jumper that I'll hopefully finish during the week - then I really ought to tackle some more 'art' based work!!

now that its been received and opened, here is a photo of the hand-knitted socks I made for my neice... a little bit 'fiddly' for a first go, but quite good fun...might make myself a pair :-D Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and here's to a peaceful 2016 :-D
