Ever wondered how these intricate wire trees are made?✨

•

Simon recently sent us a behind the scenes video showing a glimpse of his process, from carefully shaping each branch by hand to building the character and form that make every tree unique. Inspired by a love of bonsai and the natural world, Simon’s sculptures take time, patience and an incredible eye for detail.

•

Mounted on locally sourced Lakeland green slate, each piece is individually crafted and no two trees are ever exactly alike. Watching them come together makes you appreciate just how much work goes into every sculpture.

We’ve just welcomed a beautiful collection of handcrafted wooden lamps by to the gallery, and they’ve already brought such a lovely warmth to the space.

•

Working from his workshop in North Wales, Paul creates distinctive lighting using sustainably sourced timber, combining traditional woodworking techniques with contemporary design. Each lamp begins as carefully selected wood, shaped and bent into elegant flowing forms that celebrate the natural character of the material.

•

From sculptural statement pieces to softly glowing table lamps, these works are as much pieces of art as they are functional lighting. We’re delighted to have Paul join our collection and can’t wait for you to see them in person.

We’ve just unpacked a beautiful collection of new porcelain ceramics by

•

Working in porcelain, Nicola hand builds each piece before applying layers of glaze to create depth, texture and movement. Inspired by changing light, shifting skies and the colours of the landscape, her ceramics capture a sense of atmosphere and connection to the natural world. Soft blues, muted tones and textured surfaces echo the scenery that inspires both her ceramic and painted work.

Displayed alongside Nicola’s paintings, these beautiful new pieces offer a wonderful insight into the themes that run throughout her practice.

We’ve had a fabulous new delivery of artwork from arrive in the gallery! 🌸✨

•

Amy’s work always brings such beautiful colour, texture and shimmering gold accents to the space. Inspired by the natural world, her paintings are built up through layers of expressive marks, splashes of paint and delicate details, creating pieces that feel full of life and movement.

•

One of the loveliest things about Amy’s work is seeing it up close. The more you look, the more textures, brushstrokes and tiny details you discover. You can really feel the artist’s hand in every piece.

•

Alongside these newly arrived framed works, we also have some of Amy’s beautiful paintings on slate, which are always fascinating to see.

These pieces are truly stunning in person, so do pop into the gallery and take a closer look!

A lovely new piece from Charlotte Gurran has arrived in the gallery!⛰️✨

•

This piece really glimmers in the light, with iridescent layers of soft greens, blues and warm golden tones moving across the canvas. Charlotte’s flowing lines and sweeping mark making create such a beautiful sense of movement through the landscape, echoing bird flight patterns across the fells.

•

There’s such an atmospheric feel to this one, especially with all the colours in the Lake District seeming to come alive lately in this gorgeous weather. The shifting light across the piece makes it feel different every time you look at it.

•

We’re open as usual throughout the bank holiday weekend, so if you’re in Keswick do pop in and have a closer look at this beautiful new work. Have a lovely bank holiday everyone!☀️

A new artist has joined our gallery, and we are so delighted to welcome ‘s beautiful work into our space!

•

Claire’s paintings have filled our walls with vibrant colour, layered textures and expressive movement. Working predominantly in acrylic, she builds her pieces up through energetic brushwork, mark making and intuitive layers, creating atmospheric landscapes full of depth and light. The embossed textures running throughout the work give each painting a real sense of movement and life, drawing you into all of the smaller details and layers within the surface.

There’s such an uplifting quality to Claire’s work, capturing the feeling and energy of the Lake District in a bold and expressive way whilst still holding softer moments within the layers and colour.

•

delivery just arrived the gallery! 🌳

We’re always so excited to receive Katie’s beautiful Treescapes and much loved Herdwick keyrings. Her work reflects so many of the details that make the Lake District feel so special, creating lovely little reminders of the countryside for us to enjoy every day in our homes!⛰️🐑

•

Katie’s Treescapes are built up through carefully wrapped fibres and hand formed textures, with layered yarns and materials building detailed tree canopies full of depth and movement. Her work has a soft sculptural quality to it, rich in texture and delicate detail. The earthy greens and natural tones running throughout the pieces feel so reflective of the landscapes around Cumbria, with every one completely handmade by Katie herself.🧵
