The day went on, as I provided more arts & crafts for another care home, but this time at Hickathrift House Care Home - Barchester Healthcare.

The residents enjoyed crafting some seaside picture plaques with paint and decoupage, using some lovely napkins.

We all had a lovely morning at Rose Lodge Care Home - Barchester Healthcare today.

The residents enjoyed making some Funky Foan Elephants and they turned out great.

Doing creative arts & crafts can be so beneficial to thoes living with dementia, or have other challenges, it focuses their mind and is very therapeutic.

🌞🎶 Summer BBQ 🌞🎶

Join us for a Summer BBQ with a beachy twist on the 15th of August from 12pm to 3pm!

We're bringing the seaside to you with a fun-filled afternoon of delicious BBQ food, refreshing drinks, and a relaxed summer atmosphere. Expect beach-themed decorations, great music from KJ & the Catt and plenty of opportunities to sit back, unwind and soak up the sunshine with friends and family.

Good food, summer vibes and wonderful company. What more could we need!

We all had a very enjoyable morning at Rose Lodge Care Home - Barchester Healthcare today.

The residents made some lovely Mocktail posters and they look great. The funny thing was, we didn't chat about mocktails we chatted about our favourite biscuits 🍪😆and we all like different ones.

It's whatever works at the time, as long as we're having a good time and the residents are socialising.

Working in the community, providing workshops🎨, I get to meet some wonderful people.

Yesterday, a family of three joind me. Mum, Daughter and Grandma all crafting different items. They had previously done a little bit of decoupaging 🤔 but now I would be taking them to the next level, teaching the tricks of my trade 😀.

We had a lot of fun and laughs, while enjoying the odd cookie 🍪 and a cuppa. We also managed to do some amazing Decoupage work 😆

Attending creative workshop can be very enjoyable and therapeutic, especially if you have your family or a group of friends with you and you'll have so much fun, while learning a new skill.

I was at Briar House Care Home last week, with the residents, making some lovely peacocks. 🦚 We used cardboard rolls and funky foam.

We all had a lot of fun crafting our funky foam peacocks, having some great conversations, while having a nice cuppa. However, one of the residents wanted to make an aeroplane ✈️....so we did. I always aim to please 😊

Carol, who volunteers at Briar House, was there to help otheres with their craft. Thank you 😀

Doing various Arts and crafts can be so therapeutic and beneficial, to thoes living with dementia, it helps the residents engage in their creativity while socialising with otheres.
