💛 Why are my workshops for over 18s?
I’m sometimes asked why my workshops are specifically for adults, and I wanted to explain the reason behind it.
My workshops are designed to be more than simply learning or creating something. They’re about you — having a little time away from the pressures and responsibilities of everyday life, in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
I want my workshops to provide a space where you can:
🌿 Take some time for yourself – a chance to pause, breathe and focus on something you enjoy.
🧘 Switch off and unwind – step away from work, family life and everyday stresses, even if just for a couple of hours.
💚 Support your mental wellbeing – doing something creative, enjoyable and positive can be a wonderful form of self-care.
🤍 Feel comfortable being yourself – there’s no pressure, no expectations and absolutely no judgement.
🤝 Meet like-minded people – chat, laugh, share experiences and enjoy the company of others in a similar stage of life.
🌸 Make new friends – you never know who you might meet or what connections you might make.
✨ Try something new – perhaps learn a new skill, discover a creative side you didn’t know you had, or simply enjoy doing something different.
🫶 Feel safe and supported – creating a space where everyone feels welcome, respected and comfortable is incredibly important to me.
The 18+ age limit isn’t about excluding anyone. It’s about creating a particular environment where adults can relax, connect and have some well-deserved “me time” without the responsibilities that come with being a parent, carer or simply navigating everyday life.
Sometimes we spend so much time looking after everyone else that we forget to look after ourselves.
So these workshops are your opportunity to pause, breathe, create, connect and enjoy some time that’s just for you. 💕
No pressure. No judgement. No need to be “good” at anything.
Just a safe, friendly space to come along, be yourself and hopefully leave feeling a little lighter than when you arrived. 🌿
