After a long, quiet day at Newent Lake, patience finally paid off with this lovely Common Carp weighing 12lb 10oz.

The fish fell to a 15mm Spicy Pepperoni hookbait by Mark Hookbaits during the evening feeding spell after hours of little activity. It was the only bite of the session, but it was enough to turn a potential blank into a successful day.

Sometimes it’s not about the number of fish you catch—it’s about making that one chance count. This common certainly made the wait worthwhile. 🐟🎣
