We have some news we’ve been sitting on for a little while, and it feels like the right moment to share it.
When we move into the new shop on Humber Street, we’ll be changing our name from Cocoa Chocolatier to Cocoa Alchemist.
Cocoa Chocolatier was the name we chose eleven years ago, when we were just finding our feet. But we’ve grown and changed so much since then so we wanted a name that reflects the creativity and the process behind what we do, and better fits the business we’ve grown into.
Alchemy is the process of turning something ordinary into something extraordinary, and if you’ve ever stood at our stall watching a shell get its shine, or a filling take shape, you’ll know that’s exactly what we do every single day. Simple ingredients, transformed by hand into something a little bit magic. The new name just finally says out loud what we’ve always been doing.
As we get things ready behind the scenes, you may notice our social media handles have already updated. Don’t worry, it’s still very much us, just getting a head start on the admin! Everything else, including our name at the stall, will stay the same until we move later this month.
So here it is for the first time. This is one of our new chocolate boxes, dressed in the new look, but filled with the bonbons you already know and love.
