Book of the month for May at KingsGate church Kingston is Strange New World by Carl R Trueman. This book shows how thinkers and activists redefined identity and sparked the sexual revolution that has impacted society. It shows the slippery slope society has gone down because of the deification of self and casting away of what God says about our identity. The challenge at the end of the book is for the Church to show to a broken and divided world a better way by showing how the love of God manifests itself through community and outreach, even if it means embracing a path of suffering as it goes against popular culture’s ethics and standards.
