July’s blog is published and ready to read on my website (link in bio!).

We are now two weeks into the summer holidays and I absolutely love having the kids home, not rushing and just enjoying being! Don’t get me wrong there’s been plenty of bickering (amongst the kids!) but we were all very ready for the slower days. I still need to work and plan on staying creative and this month’s blog chats about the ways I’m hoping to do this!

As always I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions for future blogs!

Print release!!! ‘Seasons of Brilliance’ and ‘A Season and a Charm’ Giclée prints are now on my website (link in bio).

I am again so happy with these prints ( Sturgess you are fantastic!); I can’t tell the difference between these and the originals! The originals are currently not for sale (they are hanging in my home!) but these prints are pretty much identical!

Both pieces have been professionally photographed and printed onto Somerset Enhanced Velvet paper, unframed and unmounted, 40x50cm sized to fit a standard frame.

‘Cascade of Brilliance’ is now on my website and officially for sale!
This piece was most definitely a labour of love, it took many, many hours to build up the layers of detail and reflects the tangle and craziness of my life at the moment! I loved getting lost in it!

Watercolour and pen detail, varnished and framed in a hand painted detailed frame.
87.5 x 63 x 3.5cm

Although I have been very quiet on here, I have been super busy in the studio finishing this piece! I am still obsessed with working on the panel boards and the bright poppy frames but with this one I have taken it a step further and made the frame part of the art!!! I am so happy with it and loved becoming lost in the tangle of feathers (kinda reflects my chaotic life at the moment;).

I’ll be popping this on to my website soon but if you are interested, have any question’s or would like to see it in person then send me a DM! I am also thinking of offering prints, I’ll keep you updated!

June’s blog is up and ready to read on my website!

I was really unsure what to write about this month so I thought I would answer some of the most commonly asked questions when I’m exhibiting. So if you’d like to find out a little bit about my inspiration, my practice and me follow the link in my bio!

If you’d have any questions I haven’t covered send me a DM! I’d also, like always, love to hear your thoughts or ideas for future blogs!

I thought I’d pop on here to say hi! I’ve been pretty quiet on SM lately. It’s been a bit nuts with a family trip to Cornwall (lovely time and lots of inspo pics!) and then there’s the end of the school year chaos as well as all the transition appointments, interviews… etc for two children going to two different secondary schools! And breathe! I am squeezing in work and making progress, albeit slowly, with this piece. I’m just keeping my head down and trying to remember everything and every appointment. I’ll be more visible soon and I have lots of plans…….once things settle down a bit.

May’s blog is now published and ready to read!

If have a love/hate relationship with your sketchbook, unsure how to use it, just don’t know where to start or would simply like a sneaky peek into my own practice then check it out!

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how I use my sketchbooks (or don’t!) and how being more intentional in my art practice will ultimately have a positive impact. This month’s musings dips into this! Link in bio!

Another little process video of this current WIP. I am absolutely loving adding the detail to the tangle of feathers. Would you love to do this or would it drive you insane?
