Wishing you all a very happy 2026! If I was making New Year’s resolutions one of them would definitely be to stay more up to date on here and share some of the behind-the-scenes shots as I go 📸

So, in the spirit of that, here’s a little recap of 2025 at Bide including the work-in-progress and some finished projects. I’ve loved working with fabulous clients and suppliers over the past 12 months and I’m looking forward to sharing more of what goes on with you this year!

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately… turns out juggling lovely projects and family life over the summer has kept me busier than expected.

Here’s a little snapshot of what I’ve been up to recently – some beautiful spaces that I’ve had the joy of working on over these past few months and some fun little styling bits and bobs in between!

Like everything in life, beautiful interiors are about balance. Balancing the old with the new, the beautiful with the functional, the vibrant with the calm and the bold with the timeless.

Here are a few Bide project shots of where we’ve tried to do just that - creating something bespoke that can showcase a client’s style and personality in a timeless, beautiful way.

I have to admit that busy times have meant that I haven't been on here as much as I should be recently, but the sun and blue skies we've been getting lately has inspired me to revisit this uplifting scheme from spring last year.

This room was originally a bland, underused playroom which my client's family had outgrown. They wanted to reconfigure it into a room which could serve three purposes - a home office, a family snug and a spare bedroom for when guests visited.

Using a chaise style sofa bed to section the room into zones, we created a double-desk office space at the back and a relaxing family TV space at the front which can be transformed into a bedroom as required.

We used a fresh and uplifting colour palette of green, blue and earthy terracotta to make the room warm and inviting, in keeping with its beautiful surroundings overlooking Loch Leven’s nature reserve. 🌿

It was such a pleasure and a privilege to be asked to design this nursery for a very special little girl.

The brief was to transform it from a blank canvas into a timeless, beautiful room with a calming vibe that she can enjoy through the years.

We took this gorgeous hand drawn wallpaper as inspiration for the scheme of dusky pinks and grey-greens, and chose the beautiful feather ceiling light to tie in with the swans on the print.

One of things I love most about what I do is getting the chance to transform spaces into beautiful homes that work and flow better.

This project, which is now an open plan kitchen, living and dining area, was once a rabbit warren of small, dark rooms that we reconfigured and transformed into a light and airy family space with places to cook, eat and relax together. But don’t worry, we still retained some of those separate rooms for when growing teens and frazzled parents need their separate space!

Speaking of frazzled, it’s been a busy old week so it’s maybe no coincidence that it’s Friday and the wine fridge in the first image is front and centre! Happy weekend!

I realised that with a recent busy spell I hadn’t been updating this page as often as I’d like so I’m taking this opportunity to wish you all a happy new year and make it a 2025 resolution of mine to share more images of recent projects and before and after shots!

I'm kicking off with this family snug transformation from a local project here in Kinross where we took a plain, unloved and underused room and used colour to transform it into a beautiful, cosy, characterful space that the whole family can now enjoy together. Hopefully you'll agree we've made a big difference!

It might be grey outside but this sunroom project is bringing all the uplifting vibes, especially with all that pattern coming together so beautifully.

Just a few more finishing touches to add in the dining room and kitchen, and this open plan space will be full of warmth and character whilst still keeping the light and airy style the client loves! ✨

I’m very excited to be hosting a series of interiors workshops at Solsgirth Home Farm, kicking off with a festive tablescaping workshop next month where I’ll be sharing ideas and inspiration for styling a beautiful table to entertain family and friends. I’ll share more details on how to book very soon! ✨

We're excited to share that we'll be hosting a series of interiors workshops here at Solsgirth with Victoria Jackson from Bide Home .

Our first event on 23rd November is a festive tablescaping workshop where Victoria will guide you through beautiful table dressing ideas for Christmas, followed by a Solsgirth two-course lunch.

Victoria will then be back in the new year for an inspiring interior design workshop where you'll learn tips and techniques to transform your home. With Victoria's guidance, you'll have the chance to pull together your own mood board for a room in your home using samples and other inspiration.
