Beautiful flowers, plants, floral art, brilliant veggies (including those HUGE leeks 💪🧅), tasty jams & cakes, an outstanding School Section, and colourful face painting everywhere 🌈🦋

📍 St Bride’s Centre

All primary school children welcome,
👶 Nursery aged children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

🌼Children will be expected to leave their exhibits with the committee and they will be judged on Saturday 5th September 🌸✨

🎉 Douglas absolutely smashed the Scarecrow Competition 🎉

17 bold, brilliant, totally bonkers scarecrows popped up across the village, from the School Janitor, Pennywise to Minions, Spider‑Man, Dennis the Menace, a chaotic Window Cleaner and even Afternoon Tea! Pure creative chaos 🤩

👏 Huge thanks to everyone who built, stuffed, stitched and sculpted these cracking characters. You didn’t just make scarecrows, you made the village buzz.

👀 With the weather on our side, a few of these characters might still be hanging around Douglas for a wee encore.

🙏 Shoutout to our Judges, now facing the impossible task of picking winners from a lineup with zero duds.

Right, Douglas… the scarecrows are READY and will be on display from 11am on Sunday. We’ve had a wee sneak peek at a few of them, they’re looking wild, wonky, absolutely sensational and desperate for an audience 🌾🔥

If you’re planning to enter something in this year’s Flower Show, please bring your exhibits during the drop‑off times below 💚

📍 St Brides Centre
🕞 Friday 4th September: 3.30pm – 6pm
🌅 Saturday 5th September: 7am – 9am

🚪 St Brides will close at 9am on Saturday so judging can take place.
