Mama Smith's Bears was was launched thanks to the encouragement of family and friends. I am a very small business running from home, whilst I also work full time and look after my husband and 2 children. I have been knitting since the age of 10 when I decided that I was going to knit my new baby brother a jumper - without using a pattern..... it turned ou
t surprisingly good!!! So 30+ years later I am still knitting - but now, thankfully I DO use patterns...I even create my own. Mama Smith's Bears creates almost anything she is asked to create. My items range from Bears, Toys, Christmas decorations (mainly baubles at the moment but may introduce more), Baby Clothing and Blankets/Shawls. Your wishes are my command - so please do ask if there is something special you would like to be created. I have quite a range of patterns - I just do not have the time to create an example of them all - since opening in May 2013 I have had a steady flow of orders - which has been great....
I am very excited to see what 2014 brings. All my items are stuffed with fire regulation toy stuffing (see further info below) I also use plastic toy eyes and noses. Should your order be for a small child please let me know and I will ensure I sew these details on rather than use the accessories. If your order is to be delivered locally (within 2 miles of LA1) I will deliver (or you can collect) free of charge. However if your delivery is for further afield there will be a £6 postal charge for recorded delivery and packaging. Unfortunately due to a couple of recent orders which have been place and not paid for/not collected - all orders must be paid for at the time of ordering.
