What a lovely afternoon I spent with the children and adults at Launceston Primary School yesterday. Not only did I help a number of children buy their new books with their World Book Day vouchers I also had the chance to hear stories being read to the children and see the lovely crafts that the children had created.

I was watching a news story with interest the other evening. The reporter was talking about how popular comic story books are with primary aged children. Children enjoy the adventure, puzzles and illustrations in the books. The best thing of all for me is children are reigniting their love of holding a book and flicking through the pages as well as developing their reading skills and sharing the adventure with their friends.
Usborne do a great range of these books. Recommended age ranges from 5 - 9+ years. I have added a few pictures to show you what I mean. For further information PM me.

It’s World Book day in the UK on Thursday this week. Wishing everyone taking part in celebrations a great time. I’d love to know what events are happening in school and the wider community to celebrate
