🍓 It’s almost Strawberry season! And if you want them to last as long as possible, give them a rinse and store them in a clean, airtight glass jar. 🫙

I’ve had berries and most salad veggies (like tomatoes) last for a week by storing them this way!

And it looks so good in the fridge too. My best hot weather hack is lying on the cold tiles in my kitchen. 🙃 My second best is Rose water Hydrolat. 👌

All natural and super refreshing, the little spray bottles are only £4 (£1.60 to refill!) and I keep one in the fridge at all times. Perfect for cooling down throughout the day, after a walk, or before bed for a restful sleep. 😌 Spray all over your face/body or on the back of your neck for a cool boost.

Who else can relate? 😵‍💫

Admin tornadoes, brain overload, constant problem solving, fixing, cleaning, packing, posting, evaluating, replying, budgeting, adapting… and teaching yourself new skills (most recently ALT text for images for the visually impaired!).
How I manage to keep two kids alive and train for marathons on top I’ll never know haha. But, still enjoying every day and the challenges it brings. ❤️

Hot weather recipe alert! No shame in reaching for a choc ice, but this frozen yoghurt bark is so good and easy to make. One big pot of any type of yogurt can make you loads of it as well. Items marked * are things we stock. You will need:

🟫 parchment paper* (ours is an unbleached one!)
🥄 any type of yoghurt (works with all types)
🍯 some local honey*
🤍 vanilla extract* (optional)
🍓 frozen fruit (I buy the big bags of wonky ones)
🌾 assorted seeds*

Mix 1tbsp of honey and a dash of vanilla through the yoghurt, then spread it onto the parchment in a thick layer (at least 1-1.5cm). Sprinkle on your fruit and seeds and place in freezer on a plate or tray, preferably overnight. Once frozen you can break the slabs into pieces to enjoy, wrapping the excess in the paper and storing frozen in a tub or silicone bag*. Enjoy!

We haven't held a workshop for a little while, so here's one we've got coming up which is perfect for summer! A chance to create your own vibrant reusable bunting with repurposed materials.

This is happening in the Stratford shop as part of Great Big Green Week. Thursday 4th June- two sessions to choose from and only £5.00 inlcuding a soft drink and your lovely bunting to take home. We'd love to see you there!

It's International TEA DAY! (Anything worth eating or drinking deserves it's own day, right?) Did you know we source all our loose leaf teas locally from a company called The Tea House? Whether you brew them by reusable cotton tea bag or a stainless steel infuser, they're all fantastic quality. My favourite is the Forest Fruits one, or Peppermint. I add a bit of sugar to that one to remind me of Morocco. Do you have a favourite tea?

Spent last weekend climbing an actual mountain and this is the crap I picked up on the summit! Unbelievable. 😡 Plastic doesn’t go away…There is no such thing as away!

That’s why I created , so you can refill and reuse without the need for things like cling film or single use plastic bottles.
