A post about the little joys in life and how lucky we are to connect with such wonderful people.
As you may know I'm a Pulp fan. I've adored them for about 30 years. At times they were the thing in my life which kept me going. I've invested so so much time in them.
So, as you also may know they've been touring over the last few years. I didn't get a ticket for Wythenshawe this year as I thought travelling up to Manchester for the gig would be too difficult with caring full time for my mum.
I was sad, but it was the right decision for her. Then I found out they were taking over a pub in Manchester for the weekend. Oh. My. Days! The things I was missing and I was honestly so gutted.
But the rather wonderful Emma Cottam is also a Pulp fan and it turns out an excellent human being, and she got me some magnets from the pop up pub AND stickers from Piccadilly Records then sent them all the way down to Norfolk with some suitably Pulpy postcards (lovely touch) and a fantastic cat card.
This like this really remind you what a wonderful little world it is out there and make everything feel so warm and good. Pulp fans really are the very best and Em has really made my year with such kindness!!
In case any of you are wondering, of course I'm not going to actually use them, they're going to get carefully filed away with my Pulp memorabilia and will bring me so much joy for years to come. ❤️❤️❤️
