Give nature a place to hunker down as it gets colder. 💚

As winter approaches animals are getting ready to slow down and hide away. But it's not one size fits all. Frogs, minibeasts and hedgehogs all prefer different homes for the winter. Here's how to make space for each in your garden! 🐸🦔🪲🍂

On World Mental Health Day, it's been proven that getting out in nature is beneficial for our wellbeing on so many levels.

We'd love to see your pics of nature... (and the sun's out here, so there's even less of an excuse to stay inside). 💛🌞

NATURE 🙏🏾

Nature is the antidote to many of the stresses of the modern world.

Nature is expansive. It helps us reflect. It gives us perspective. It broadens our view on the world. No one ever felt worse after getting a dose of nature.

Being in nature has been shown to reduce levels of the stress hormone, cortisol, and improve the functioning of our immune system. (Have you heard my latest podcast yet where we cover the powerful effect that nature has on our immune system? If not, click the link in my bio above 👆🏾👆🏾)

As a family, we try our best to get outside in nature as much as we can, especially at weekend. What about you? Is this something you try and prioritise every weekend?

How do you plan to access nature this weekend? I appreciate that some people find it much harder because of where they live but even a trip to the local park or getting outside and looking at some trees can help!

There are so many natural options, to manage unwanted guests in our gardens.

Banning the use of pesticides in UK gardens may seem unnecessary but these chemicals don't discriminate against which insects they kill, so bees and other pollinators will be impacted by their use.

And pesticides are pretty unhealthy for humans and pets, too.

A pesticide-free garden helps bees, insects and the wider network of life that depend upon them.

Like birds and hedgehogs.

And Us.

Leading expert says outlawing use of chemicals in private and public areas could slow insect decline and protect human health
