Happy hooves eal centre is being created to offer the opportunity for everyone to benefit from learning alongside horses. "The psychological benefits of working with horses are being recognised by growing numbers of therapists who work with autistic children, young people with behavioural problems, adults with depression or people with addiction" ( Tracey McVeigh The Guardian ). There is also incr

easing evidence of the positive affect that horses can have for many other groups such as those with eating disorders, dementia, the long term unemployed etc etc so in short everyone can benefit. We have chosen to focus on using Clydesdale horses primarily as we have found despite their great size the have the kindest calmest natures of any horses we have worked with. They are also classed as a rare breed so we hope to also support them in showing the versatility of their breed.

I just want to say a HUGE thank you to all our volunteers, friends, service users and supporters who made our summer fair yesterday such a special day. I am so proud of the little community we have become, bringing people together and sharing joyful moments . We raised lots of money, ate lots of cake and had lots of fun with our wonderful animals . We still have lots of our new merch and clothing available so if anyone wants to purchase anything next time you visit let us know. Video of what’s available in comments 🎂🦉🦆🐌🐓🐭🐷
