Here’s what we think…
Obviously it’s a gorgeous wedding dress but Maggie Sottero has designed so many gorgeous dresses, there must be a reason that this is one of the most loved designs that she has in her collection. Here’s our thoughts:
1. It nails the “timeless trend”.
MELISSA combines a classic satin silhouette with subtle modern details like asymmetrical draping and pearl embellishment. It’s elegant enough to feel timeless but current enough to appeal to today’s brides, meaning it’s unlikely to date quickly.
2. It flatters a huge range of body shapes.
The structured corset bodice, strategic draping and sculpted fit create shape and definition while offering support. Brides often look for a dress that enhances their figure without relying heavily on shapewear, and MELISSA delivers exactly that.
3. It’s incredibly versatile.
The minimalist design acts as a blank canvas. Brides can style it with a dramatic veil, detachable bow train, statement jewellery or long gloves for completely different looks, making it appeal to both classic and fashion-forward brides.
