It’s been a while…
Grief hit hard at the start of the year. After losing dad in February 2025, and then my grandad 3 weeks later, we kept ourselves busy, organising life, working, designing, then into the Christmas rush. When January came and we stopped, it hit me like a brick wall, knocking any motivation out of me 💔. Too many what ifs floating around my head constantly. Sue was struggling with her sight too. She’d been told that she had mild cataracts in both eyes last year, but in January she realised how much they were affecting her day to day life so I made her an appointment to start the referral process. Made myself an appointment at the same time and left with varifocals 🤦🏼♀️ a little reminder that 40 is coming this year 😂. So March has been busy, Sues had her first eye “done” and the improvement is already great. She’s been limited on what she can do the last 2 weeks and is itching to get back to making. It keeps her busy and gives her something to focus on. Hoping her second op will be done in April 🤞🏻. Unfortunately my 2 and a half year old car decided it was tired and broke down just off the motorway as I was taking Lily to work 2 weeks ago, we got a lift home with a lovely policeman though 👮🏻♀️😂. Waited nearly a week for a hire car whilst the car was collected from the police storage and taken the garage (that was a nice bill that I’m hoping to be able to claim back 🤢). Anyway she needs a new engine, fortunately it’s still under warranty and there has been a recent recall due to a fault which could cause engine failure, so had a little party to celebrate the fact it’s not my driving 🤣. Thankfully I’ve now been given a big enough car to make sure I can still get us to markets (new packing challenge 😂). So lessons learnt from 2026 so far, I think I should just hibernate the first 3 months 🙈. Anyway it’s time to pull my big girl pants up and get back on the socials sharing what we make, because they’re quite cute and deserve to be on display in as many homes as we can reach. Plus I need to earn to feed these kids, they’re expensive 🤦🏼♀️😂. So if you can, please give us a like and a share ❤️.
