This isn't just a random Nordic design — it’s a piece of living history on skin. 🐉🔥This tattoo was executed in the authentic Urnes style, representing the absolute peak of Viking art from the late 11th and 12th centuries. These intricate, flowing lines are directly inspired by the historic wood carvings of the Urnes Stave Church in Norway, a protected UNESCO World Heritage site. 🇳🇴Behind the intertwined elements lies a powerful mythological story:• The Great Beast – stands for strength, majesty, and cosmic order (often associated with the mythical dragon Níðhöggr).• The Serpents – symbolize chaos, the forces of nature, and the endless cycle of death and rebirth.Pure, historical Norse art, perfectly shaped to the anatomy of the forearm. This was a heavy cover up and honestly it wasn't straightforward — but Henry put everything into this one. A powerful black and grey gladiator piece built over something that no longer felt right.
