Such a lovely commission from the Heritage Portfolio team to create this jester-shaped piece for Frans Mortengren, who has worked with them for many years. It’s made up of some of his best-known sayings and phrases… including a few slightly rude ones!

Some recent chalkboard menus. All fully handwritten, from the headings right down to every last ingredient. They take a fair bit of time (and concentration!) but I love how much character handwriting gives them.
So much nicer than just hitting print!

A little silver shimmer to start the week ✨

These simple dusty blue place cards are completely transformed with silver ink calligraphy. Such a lovely combination, and proof that sometimes the simplest details make all the difference.

I always love doing live calligraphy events but last weeks event Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh for SITEScotland was particularly special - such a lovely group of people and I literally didn’t stop writing all night.

These cards are a print of my own watercolour flowers, finished with handwritten names in gold ink calligraphy.

I absolutely loved this idea as a guest book alternative, this lovely couple chose to have an anniversary card on each table - which the guests wrote messages in before sealing and popping into a box for the couple to open on the next 7 anniversaries. I designed a card for each year based on their wedding colours and style.

I’ve not been making my doodle shelves very long but they are very popular - for a huge range of occasions! Each one is hand made with doodles relevant to the individual - making them such a lovely keepsake.
