Bat wallpaper with a hundred years of history behind it, just in time for spooky season. 🦇💫

Our Tokyo Bats wallpaper began life in early 1900s Japan as a woodblock print. At the time, bats were a popular motif in Japanese art and design, and under Chinese influence they were seen as a sign of good luck, happiness and new beginnings, which is why you’ll find them swirling across antique kimonos and pottery from the period.

We’ve brought the original pattern back as a Japanese-inspired wallpaper with a delicate, playful feel.

It works as a subtle nod to Halloween in October and holds its own as a statement print all year round, whether that’s a feature wall, a hallway or a reading nook.
