Running a small business isn’t always as glamorous as Instagram makes it look.
Sometimes your hair hasn’t been washed for let’s just say long enough. Because you’ve been too busy dyeing fabrics, experimenting, creating, and trying to bring an idea to life.
Sometimes your studio is an absolute disaster because you’re still slowly moving your stuff out of what used to be the family room. There are boxes everywhere, fabric in places fabric probably shouldn’t be, and you’re pretty sure you’ve lost something important under the chaos.
And your nails? Definitely not Instagram-worthy. Because apparently when life gets overwhelming, my nervous habit is biting them instead of having a perfectly polished manicure.
But honestly, the urge to create, to share my passion, to make something that feels mine is so much bigger than all those imperfections.
This is the less polished side of running a small business. The messy, tired, slightly chaotic, sometimes overwhelming side.
And I’m learning to embrace it.
Because behind the imperfect nails, messy studio and unwashed hair is something I care about deeply and that feels pretty beautiful to me.
So here’s to building something slowly, imperfectly, and with a whole lot of passion.
