GEEO Teacher Travel   | Roman ruins. Medieval cities. A sunset camel ride in the Sahara. If your vacation photos usually include an informational plaque, I’ve got some exciting news. 

You all know that I treat every vacation like a field trip, and after years of hearing, “Take me with you!” I’m excited to finally say: okay, let’s go.

Next June, I’m taking a group of teachers to Morocco through GEEO Teacher Travel and I would love for YOU to come with me! 

GEEO Teacher Travel Programs is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping educators travel affordably and bring their travel experiences back into their classrooms. We know the best lessons don’t always come from a textbook, and there’s really nothing like experiencing history, culture, and new perspectives firsthand. 

We’ll be exploring places like Volubilis, Fès, Aït Ben Haddou, Marrakech, and even the Sahara Desert alongside other educators who love learning as much as they love traveling. And that’s just the tip of the…sand dune?

When NASA slides into your DMs and invites you to NASA’s Johnson Space Center for the NASA Artemis 3 crew announcement, you go.

Thank you Leah Cheshier for this absolutely unreal experience with the very coolest people. I will never, for the rest of my earthly existence, get over this day.

My headstone will literally say “Malinda Nichols. Wife. Mother. Teacher. Went to the Artemis 3 Crew Announcement.”
