Mental health awareness🫱🏼‍🫲🏿Inclusivity

Self Luv Studio UK is a small business based in the heart of West Sussex, UK with one simple mission… to show young people they’re not alone with their mental health.

10% of children and young people (aged 5-16 years) have a clinically diagnosable mental health problem. BUT what’s worse is 70% off those individuals don’t receive appropriate interventions at a sufficiently early age.

Now I’m not promising miracles on my behalf however all I want is to show them they’re not alone!
It’s the most heartbreaking thing hearing that they feel they have no one to turn to or they feel as though they’re the only one.
That’s where SLS comes in…

I handmake my own products including clothing, drinkware, journals & much more on a mission to spread awareness of mental health in young people. With prices for all budgets🎀

Because you are not alone! There is always someone to listen to your worries & support IS available 🫶🏻

This needs to be on a billboard in front of every single person struggling with their mental health…

You may not be struggling with your mental health & if you are check, check & check again that your receiving the right treatment. Because the right treatment for a different illness is not going to help you recover.

For example, 12 years ago…
I started becoming depressed, anxious and very impulsive. So you’d like I was depressed? Wrong.
No one asked me back then as a female at the average start age of menstruation whether this was happening around my periods? Because it was. It’s PMDD. Which was left untreated for 12 years and nearly took my life countless times.
Also, I’m neurodivergent. Again left undiagnosed until 17 & 22. Why? Who knows?
But please please make sure you are confident in your diagnosis & treatment especially if it’s not working!
