Sometimes we just need a little reminder that not all storms last forever 💜
The last 4 weeks have been very surreal and has ultimately affected my business 😔 which is totally understandable. However I am trying to use this time to create new digital products.

With today being International Women’s Day, I thought I would introduce myself and tell you a-bit about my story.

👋🏾 Hi, I’m Dee, a single mum living in London and I’m the creator of Dee’s Party Bits.
I’ve always enjoyed being creative and being a only child I would spend my time lost in my imagination and creating any and everything. From making clothes for my dolls out of old fabric to spending hours on end drawing or painting. ✏️🎨
My love for being creative led me to studying Art and Drama but after being discouraged by people telling me that art and acting were not real careers and that I would always be struggling financially, I decided to be “sensible” and get a normal 9-5! 👩🏾‍💼
Just before my 21st Birthday, my childhood sweetheart passed away suddenly and in a instant my world changed. 😢 I realised that life was short to not do what you love and after getting myself together mentally and emotionally I decided to study a degree in Music and Media Management with Event Management. I have always loved music and thought I could incorporate my love for music with events.
Then before my final year, I found out I was expecting. 🤰🏾 I always say the universe knew I needed my son. 🤱🏾 I went back to university when my son was 8 months and finished my degree whilst also still working part time. It was having my son that lead me back onto my creative path. I would get excited for each birthday thinking about what theme the party would be. 🤔 However I never could quite find the right decorations so would end up making them myself and with that Dee’s Party Bits was born! 🎉
So that’s my story...and just a few fun facts about me:
I love cakes and desserts! 🧁 My favourites season is Summer ☀️ I love music 🎶 I am a big Marvel movie fan 🎬 I love to play video games 🎮 I am a Leo ♌️ My favourite colour is Purple 💜 I’m also a qualified Balloon Decorator 🎈

Sorry for the late post! I was meant to post this over Christmas but was too busy spending quality time with my family! 😊
This was the gift I made my mum for Christmas. She usually asks for an electrical appliance for the kitchen 🤦🏾‍♀️ but this year I wanted to give her something that would have greater meaning after her Mum, my Grandma, passed away on the 30th December 2018. Unfortunately I didn’t get footage of her opening it but it brought tears to her eyes. 💜 Nothing like giving a personalised handmade gift to someone you love ☺️
