Two names you need to know.

Jimmy Chin is an Oscar-winning filmmaker, National Geographic photographer and professional mountain athlete. His film Free Solo won the Academy Award for Best Documentary.

Jim Morrison is the ski mountaineer who, in October 2025, became the first person in history to ski down Everest's Hornbein Couloir - a descent National Geographic called the most significant achievement in ski mountaineering history. Jimmy Chin is directing the documentary about it.
