Privileged to be playing at Craig Richards’ wonderful Houghton Festival again this year, and equally honoured to be joining the legendary Trevino’s Record Store alongside a selection of renowned sellers.

As well as the boxes of sonic sounds, we’ll have some official Andrew Weatherall merch, courtesy of Gnostic Sonics , some Radioactive Man t-shirts and some copies of Justin Robertson’s marvellous book ‘The Trials Of Jonah’ as well as some copies of his brilliant Five Green Moons albums.

Trevino’s is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 10:00–19:00

Drop in for a dig.

Due to circumstances, things and other stuff, Shake The Foundations is closing at Lamb’s Conduit Street.

Massive thanks to Chris Ward at for initiating the joint venture between Shake The Foundations and Huckle, it’s been a fun ride. Thanks to all the friends and acquaintances, old and new, who have visited the store, all the sonic heads who dug for sonic sounds, all the independent label owners that brought in their releases directly, the DJs and producers for their tales and inspiration, the artists who displayed on our walls and to all those who came and partied at our events. Finally, respectus largus to all the DJs, acts, authors and speakers, who provided some fantastic light entertainment in the basement.

We will connect again somewhere over the horizon, so keep your sonic communication devices close to receive any future transmissions.

Shake The Foundations. Viva Acid House. Be More Weatherall.

Always great to see long-time friend Pete Pressure Sounds , who came to the shop last week to drop off some restocks.

Pressure Sounds releases are always packed full of killer tunes and rhythms, beautifully mastered and packaged with love. Among this latest batch are the excellent dancehall compilation ‘Rubadub Revolution’, the Prince Jammy mixed albums; ‘Dubbing In The Backyard’ and ‘Bunny Lee Super Disco Style’, ‘Dubbing In The Front Yard’ & ‘Conflict Dub’ Also back in stock is Joe Higgs’ brilliant ‘Life Of Contradiction’, ‘Mek It Run’ - Dennis Bovell’s collection of serious dubs, Jimmy Radway’s ‘Dub I’, ‘King Tubby’s Prophecies Of Dub’ and one of the excellent collections of rare Lee Perry cuts that have appeared on the label - ‘Mr. Perry I Presume’. You know the drill, run come quick, as these always disappear.

Shake The Foundations is full of pre-owned records, many of which have come from the collections of renound DJs and collectors; Electronica, Rock, Techno, Dub, Psychedelia, Electro, Hip Hop, Reggae, Soundtracks, Post-Punk, House, Punk, African, Jazz, Indie, Tech-House, Breakbeat and lots of other foundation shaking rhythms from across the genres and around the globe.
