During a Rolex service, the watch is completely dismantled and ultrasonically cleaned. Each component that no longer meets Rolex’s specifications is replaced. The movement is carefully lubricated, then electronically tested to guarantee its timing accuracy; the case and the metal bracelet are refinished to restore their lustre. Finally, the watch undergoes a series of rigorous technical tests and checks to guarantee its waterproofness, power reserve and precision. This high-tech ceramic is extremely hard and resistant to environmental effects.
