*Don’t Judge Me… but I love a glass of w**e. 🍷*
The good news? You don’t have to give up the things you enjoy to look after your health. It’s about finding balance, not striving for perfection.
Alcohol can affect hydration, sleep quality, energy levels and blood sugar, which is why how you drink is just as important as how much you drink.
A few simple habits can make all the difference:
1. Drink in moderation and enjoy alcohol mindfully rather than out of habit.
2. Alternate each alcoholic drink with a glass of water to stay hydrated.
3. Never drink on an empty stomach – pair alcohol with a meal that’s rich in protein, healthy fats and fibre to help support stable blood sugar.
4. Prioritise sleep and give your body time to recover after a late night.
5. Get outside the next day for some gentle movement and fresh air instead of trying to “punish” yourself.
Remember, enjoying a glass of w**e doesn’t have to mean compromising your wellbeing. A healthy lifestyle is built on consistency, not restriction.
Save this for your next summer BBQ, holiday or w**e night, and let us know in the comments: what’s your go-to summer drink? ☀️🍷
