Have you ever worked with splittable double-faced fabric? ✂️
Splittable double-faced or double-cloth fabric is constructed from two layers of material joined together with tiny threads.
The layers can be carefully separated, allowing the raw edges of seams and outer edges to be enclosed within the fabric itself. The result is a beautifully clean finish without the need for a traditional lining.
It's the technique used to construct the Cresswell Coat, my unlined coat sewing pattern.
If you'd like to learn the process, I've created a free three-part YouTube series covering the techniques used to work with this fabric and construct Cresswell.
