Had to convert the conservatory into a baby seeding house! Let’s hope I have done it all correctly and they grow ! Allotment has all the cardboard down to suppress any weeds and the compost comes end of week … the base of new shed is built - bravo Walt !

Luna b and me spent a good few hours yesterday clearing out all this border - I found some plants I want to keep - foxgloves , lupin …. I am not digging out all the weeds as we will cover with cardboard once the remaining stems have been removed and widened the border - was wonderful had my music on just me and Luna ! Haven’t seen anyone else yet on the allotments !

Week 1 - thank goodness I have a Walt ! One space already had some nice fruit bushes and I will transplant the Gooseberry bushes into this … we are practicing NO DIG - so the beds are covered in cardboard and then compost on top . Luckily two compost bins that were there have matured and we used it all . Two beds down - the other beds will only be a 1 metre wide so we should manage 6 small beds more !! We are clearing the are by the bins - made a compost area out of pallets we found in and around Moreton …. All the cardboard given by our lovely local shops ( yes all tape and anything not cardboard has to be removed - tedious and not great for my Mani !!!😂

Hello from the Cotswold - yes I have a new project my Allotment !! I am over excited about this and have never had one before … it was not in too bad a shape but still a lot of prep work …. Watch this space and come on my “newbie” journey growing our own fruit and veg and cut flowers …. Bit like designing a room so hopefully I have some transferable skills from 30 years at WCD !! HERE WE GO!
