Let’s talk about the event cost nobody warns you about.
When people start planning a wedding, private party or corporate event, the budget usually starts with the obvious things:
The venue.
The food.
The drinks.
The music.
The décor.
But it’s often the costs in between that catch people out.
The “we didn’t think of that” costs.
The last-minute extras.
The supplier add-ons.
The delivery charges.
The setup time.
The extra guests.
The parking restrictions.
The damage deposits.
The overtime fees.
The backup plan when the weather changes.
The small upgrades that suddenly don’t feel so small.
And sometimes, it’s not one huge cost that shocks people — it’s lots of little ones adding up quietly in the background.
So I’m curious…
What’s the one event cost that surprised you the most?
If you’ve planned a wedding, birthday, corporate event, baby shower, private dinner, celebration or venue setup, what cost made you think:
“I wish someone told me about this earlier.”
Drop it in the comments — this could genuinely help someone planning their own event.
