Following our recent research, we uncovered some eye-opening insights into the challenges people face when it comes to space, storage and moving home:
🔹 81% of people say they've lacked storage space in their home
🔹 51% have decided against buying something because they had nowhere to put it
🔹 46% regret getting rid of treasured possessions when moving house
🔹 40% admit they've thrown items away during a move despite being unsure if they wanted to part with them
🔹 28% wish they'd had more time to decide what to keep and what to let go of
🔹 38% say poor storage space would put them off buying a property, ahead of clutter (35%) and poor décor (21%)
🔹 23% believe there's a lack of suitable homes available, while 13% cite price per square foot as a major barrier to moving
To discuss these findings and how self storage can help make moving home less stressful, our Northern & Midlands Regional Manager, Mark Emmerton, recently joined WCR FM for a radio interview.

As part of our latest research, we surveyed 2,015 UK adults to better understand the realities of moving home.

The findings revealed that a lack of space is a major source of stress, with 26% of people saying that finding room for their belongings is the most challenging part of moving house.

Today's spotlight statistic? 👇​

46% of people told us they've thrown away or got rid of belongings during a house move that they later regretted.
