We’ve definitely noticed a bit of a toilet revolution happening in the motorhome world… 🚾 🚐

More and more people are ditching the trusty cassette and switching to waterless or separating toilets, and what used to feel very “overlander niche” is suddenly everywhere. Even Thetford now offer a separation kit to convert your cassette to a separating loo.

And we totally get why. No more hunting down that one elusive chemical disposal point like it’s some sort of treasure quest, no more carrying a sloshing cassette through a campsite trying to avoid eye contact… and no more of that umm... distinctive smell.

Instead, you’ve got something that’s easier to manage day to day, gives you far more freedom to stay off-grid, and works brilliantly in places where facilities are few and far between.

Plus, and here’s the bit that surprises people… it’s actually legal to bag and bin your solid waste 💩, as long as it’s done properly. Yes, really. Basically the same category as nappies, just… slightly more grown up.

And when you think about it, the average person produces around 145kg of poo a year, which is roughly the weight of a giant panda… 🐼

No wonder most of us aren’t hanging around waiting for it to fully compost in a box under the bed lol 😂
