Yeees… Granny squares galore 🥰!!

Since 2024 I have designed 30 animals to make baby blankets. Some were easier to design than others. Sometimes I have struggled for months to make it look like the animal (looking at you, squirrel 👀). And the latest addition is the ladybug 🐞

I travel quite a lot for work so you’ll always find a book or a crochet pouch in my bag. And so I’m currently making this, which will become a dinosaur hood for my toddler as she is obsessed with dinosaurs at the moment, even since we visited the Natural History Museum this summer 😆🦖

Before falling into granny squares I was really into making amigurumi plushies. I loved making all of the Gen1 Pokemon starters as well as Mew and Lapras, so colourful as well! 🌈

Day 4 of - Favourite make

Of course it has to be my animal granny square baby blanket, here on my favourite place since this summer: our outdoor sofa by our olive tree ☀️

Now that my little baby has grown up into an energetic toddler we still use the blanket to read stories when the temperatures are a bit cooler.

Day 3 of - Flash your stash

My yarn skeins are in ugly storage boxes so showing off my crochet trolley instead 😍

I’m usually trying to be fairly organized to avoid having crochet stuff and yarn all over the place so this trolley is super handy.

More recently I have been using it to store baby stuff but soon I’ll get it back to store crochet stuff again and that’s very bittersweet 🥲

Day 1 of - This is me 👋

Hi everyone! I am Morgane, a design director by day and crochet mama by night.

I picked up crochet 7 years ago in 2019 after playing Yoshi’s Woolly World to make amigurumi characters. Then I started granny squares and created an animal granny square blanket to welcome my baby girl to this world. I wanted it to be her very first present in life 💛.

The blanket went viral on TikTok with 4M+ views, and I have been completing my bundle with 30+ animals as of today and making other nursery items. My hope is that people can enjoy the calm of making them, while creating something to treasure forever.

Seeing so many handmade baby blankets come to life has been the best part of my crochet journey.
