Spring update at Wildacres.
The poultry restrictions have finally been lifted, so we have restocked the honesty box with fresh eggs and a limited number of jars of our set summer honey.

The apiary is growing - we’ve split some large colonies and added boxes to our hives as the bees bring in lots of spring nectar and pollen from the spring flowers.

Wildacres is a small batch honey producer nestled between the Lincolnshire Wolds and the coast. We care for our bees and the environment and we absolutely love what we do! Spring honey incoming!

And so it begins…

The longer, warmer days mean we start regular inspections at Wildacres Apiary. The oil seed r**e is flowering locally so I’m adding supers too - as soon as the temperatures warm up enough the OSR flowers will release their nectar and the bees will be all over it!

Sadly, due to predicted high winds and a waterlogged field, the December market has been cancelled. Wildacres Honey look forward to returning to Laceby Farmers Market when it resumes in Spring 2026. Many thanks to the organisers for making every effort to put the event on each month and for always making safety a priority.
