Ok so my lovely sister-in-law has encouraged me to do the race for life this year on 25th June 2023! I haven't ran for 5yrs so having to start again.

I'll be doing this alongside my sister-in-law and my brother will be doing the men's race again. The reason for them doing it is:

On Thursday 9th June 2022 we lost Francis Treanor after he fought his battle so hard

Francis was a key figure to many people and Louth as a Community. Francis dedicated his life to helping others. Francis was a long standing Councillor, he served as the Mayor of Louth twice, he served as a District Councillor and was a significant part of shaping young people's lives through dedicating his time to the Louth Police Cadets for many years.

Francis is one of many who have fought, this is for all those fighting and all those who have sadly lost.

With that in mind and that I can't run I have the following page for anyone who may wish to donate and support the cause of fighting the disease. We know it may be difficult to make a financial contribution in these times, so please if you can come down and show your support whilst people are participating in the Run for Life

1k and 5k events (walk, jog or run). Open to men, women and children. The event starts and ends in the Market Place in the pretty Lincolnshire market town of Louth. The route takes in the beautiful Hubbards Hils Park and has great support along the way. Fancy Dress is always encouraged and spot priz...
