7 years ago I started working with my lovely mother at 💖

We had a crazy thought that we could put up a tent in the shops little office and run story telling and craft sessions…and Tales in the Tent was created!

Half a beach tent, adults and children squeezed in like sardines, it was wonderful!

Over the years we met The Gruffalo, Peter Pan and Tinkerbell and Zog. We celebrated World Book Days, Pyjamaramas, held special events, had fabulous authors come along, put up many many story trails in the woods during the pandemic, renovated extra rooms, came back stronger with the newly named Tales in the Teepee, visited schools and nurseries, started a baby group, had 5 years of Santas Grotto and met some incredible families, many of who I now consider very close friends 💖

It’s been an absolute honour and privilege to get to spend my Fridays with such wonderful people and I’ll always remember it as a really special time in my life 🥰

It’s been a lovely final Tales in the Teepee today, and I’m so grateful for my beautiful flowers, gifts and lovely cards. From the bottom of my heart, thank you ☺️

Join us on Friday 24th for one more story! 📖

I will be in our Tales in the Teepee rooms from 10-12 and 2-4, drop in anytime during those times, bring your favourite book and we can have one more story together! There will be refreshments, crafts and the chance to share some memories of the last 7 years of Tales in the Teepee! 🥰

I have chosen 3 lovely children’s stories about the joy of reading 📚

We will be making photo frames to take home, there’ll be refreshments and singing! 10-11am and 2-3pm.

Book your place by calling the shop on 01159664143 or message us. £5 per child! Hope to see lots of you there for one final story time ❤️

⭐️ Friday 24th will be an all day drop in session from
10am-5pm, come along anytime, share a story, do a craft, write in Jane’s retirement book and share some memories! ⭐️

🩷 I would just like to say a huge thank you to every single one of you who has joined me for Tales in the Teepee since I started it in the office of the bookshop 7 years ago, it’s been wonderful to get to know you and your little bookworms and I’ve made some wonderful friends. 🩷
