After a very busy year, we have treated ourselves to an early Christmas present...

Introducing our new (not so new) V8 Audi 80 Quattro. There's still a lot to do before it's a running car again, including installing the new GEN2 Race ecu, custom engine harness and a lot more.

Shoutout to vehicle towing services for collecting the shop car!

Another day in the workshop and another MaxxECU leaving the shelves!
We try to keep as much stock as possible on hand because no one wants to pause a project while waiting on parts. So whether it’s sensors, connectors, ECUs or the little bits like fuse boxes, we’ve got it ready.
And if you want it installed or tuned, we’re always happy to help with that too.

These GEP Fuseboxes are perfect for Standalone ECU Installs, with 4 fuses and 4 relays packed compactly into this watertight box, it makes it convenient and easy to install anywhere in your car, or in the engine bay itself.

Each relay is capable of handling 20A. We use these in-house for a lot of installs into classic cars where we can't utilise the original fuse/relay boxes as they don't exist or suffer from serious corrosion issues!

All components available on the site now!

Full custom wiring loom designed and built in-house for this Peugeot 106 QS running Jenvey ITBs and an Ecumaster ECU.
All factory systems retained and functioning as they should, with a tidy, reliable integration and full calibration carried out in-house.

We offer bespoke wiring and ECU solutions for both road and motorsport applications - from complete harness design to full calibration.

Even on our standard looms, we build them to a standard that ensures long-term reliability. No open braided sleeving - which allow dirt ingress, make cleaning difficult, and can act like sandpaper once debris gets between the wires.

We were called out to help with a Ford Es**rt running a MaxxECU imported from SA. The car had starting issues, so we first jumped on remotely to look through MTune. There is nothing majorly wrong with the configuration itself.

When we arrived in person, we spotted the first tooth angle set slightly out with our timing light. We also found the external ignitor had failed on one track and provided a very weak ignition. Thankfully, it was a 3-output ignition module running a 4-cylinder wasted spark coil, so we repinned it to another channel and got it firing the other cylinders again.

On top of that, the HT leads had the wrong terminals for the coilpack, and years of wear plus poor connections meant they were breaking down under cranking. The vibrations caused an intermittent spark, and after repeated failed starts, the plugs had also fouled.

For future reliability & performance, we’d recommend upgrading to internally amplified coilpacks, plus a CAN Lambda module or upgrade to an ECU with a lambda module built in. All available on our website 👉 https://asdtuninguk.com

Good day with and
Slowly dialling in the whole new setup today. Going from spinning a 15s 1/4, to a 13s breaking driveshafts, finished off with a low boost 10s run with a missed gear change!

Hopefully, the weather holds tomorrow to continue dialling it in!

Throwback to the end of VW Action almost a year ago.

This wasn't our hardest launch, but still ran a 9.66 before obliterating the transferbox a few runs later.

With so many changes made over the last year, this weekend will be the first time running it at the strip, provided the glorious British weather holds up.

Should make for an interesting weekend, with a lot of data to look through.

Late-night launch control testing - Mexico 🇲🇽
G42-1450 at 1.6 bar - listen for the spool as boost builds.

During the run, the front left wheel reached 25 mph while the front right spun up to 60 mph. The rear wheels were together at around 30–35 mph, highlighting the traction limitations on a loose surface with standard road tyres.

While 1.6 bar is well below the turbo’s maximum capability, it is still plenty for road use

The MDash warning that appeared was an EGT Differential alert, which is expected during launch control when random cylinders are cut for rpm control. No mechanical concerns.

Time to welcome to the team.

and have been busy over winter (and spring) making an mq500 box fit, bigger intercooler, new intake and exhaust pipework and moving the engine mounts to the chassis rail amongst 1000x other things.

We've been hiding in the background cracking on with a new loom and ecu install after the success of last season and making multiple PBs within a single day of running the car (before the the transfer box left the chat)

We've opted to upgrade from the 2007 Syvecs ECU to one of our MaxxECU Pro's to take full control and utilise a whole load of new sensors & the full logging capabilities of the ecu.

Busy times in the workshop lately 🔧

We’ve just wrapped up fitting a Street standalone ECU to Peugeot 205 with an MI16 swap.

This setup features a fully custom wiring loom designed specifically for MI16-swapped 205s running a MaxxECU Street – available soon as a complete kit!

We’ve tackled a long list of issues: resolved reliability problems, replaced fuel lines, pump, and regulator, balanced the ITBs, and much more.

If you’re working on a project and need help with a standalone ECU – wiring, setup, or tuning – we’ve got you covered. Drop us a message!
