I do this
the sea dips, the walks, the mountains, the workshops, the journaling…

so I can do this too.

Be present.
Laugh harder.
Show my kids the world instead of my fear of it.

Yes I still get anxious.
Yes I still do trial runs sometimes.
But I go anyway.

And slowly it stopped feeling impossible.
Then it became fun.
Then soul fulfilling 🤍

Every year I swear I’ll make the most of summer.

Then suddenly it’s dark at 4pm and I’ve spent half of it answering emails and doomscrolling in my kitchen 🙃

So this is your official intervention.

DayDot Sessions #03 is basically:
a cosy slightly chaotic night to reset your head before autumn arrives aggressively fast.

Bring:
✨ photos
✨ journal chaos
✨ half-finished dreams
✨ overthinking
✨ scraps & stickers
✨ yourself

Leave with:
a fuller scrapbook,
a calmer brain,
and hopefully some plans you’re actually excited about.

Everyone said the feeder was too close to the house
that no birds would use it 🙊

But look who visits twice a day now…
a wee blackbird with her orange beak just hopping about like she owns the place 🖤

Very sweet.
And honestly probably a wee reminder I needed too.

Everything has felt a bit heavy lately.
Not catastrophic.
Just… heavy.
Overwhelmed easier. Tired easier. A bit too inside my own head.

But I can feel things settling again when I keep myself right.

Walk a lot.
Talk a lot.
Eat nourishing food.
Drink water.
Sleep.

Nothing revolutionary.
Just the boring consistent things that slowly bring you back to yourself.

A bit like a wee blackbird finally trusting the feeder 🖤

Storytime.

Today I took part in a focus group helping shape therapy support for postpartum psychosis survivors.
And afterwards it hit a few tender spots.

When I finally got therapy after everything that happened, I didn’t just get coping tools.
I got help understanding me.
My trauma.
My fear.
My nervous system.

I often think about what could’ve happened if I’d never been given that support.

So today I feel emotional.
But mostly grateful.

Because good therapy really can change the direction of someone’s life 🤍 To that amazing therapist out there you know who you are, thank you! Maybe I’m ready to write my book 🤣

Mother’s Day US on social media is strange when grief and love and resentment all exist in the same place.

Because I miss my mum.
Desperately sometimes.

But I also carry the little girl who spent a lot of time feeling like she was too much.

And becoming a mum yourself does something weird to that.
You start replaying old conversations differently.
Old reactions.
Old wounds.

You realise how small children are.
How deeply they absorb tone and words and sighs and jokes.

And suddenly you’re raising your own little people while quietly trying to break patterns you didn’t even fully notice until adulthood.

It’s vulnerable work.
Especially on days like today when the internet becomes one giant emotional scrapbook.

Anyway.
If Mother’s Day content is cracking old feelings open a bit tonight
you’re probably not the only one 🤍

Heavy mind means journal or book time.
Today I chose the book 🤍

I actually have a wellness process.
A very boring, predictable, annoyingly effective one.
And lately I’ve not been sticking to it.

The last month I’ve found myself more tired, more overwhelmed, more easily dysregulated and then beating myself up for struggling instead of noticing the obvious…

I’ve drifted away from the things that keep me well.

So it’s back to basics again.

Walk and swim.
Talk and journal.
Eat nourishing food.
Drink water.
Sleep properly.
Less doomscrolling.
Less trying to “push through”.

Sometimes healing isn’t some huge breakthrough moment.
Sometimes it’s just returning to the small things that quietly hold you together.

Do it for the scrapbook.

For the photo you’ll forget you took.
For the tiny moment that felt massive.
For the proof you were here.

What are you going to do for your scrapbook?

I implore you to keep a physical record
of your bravery
your chaos
your stupidity
the nights that lit up your world
and the days that set your soul on fire.

Because one day you’ll be 80,
flicking through wrinkled pages thinking

“F**k, I really lived.”

And honestly?
That’s a fu***ng beautiful archive to have

05/05/2026

I’ve actually never shown anyone that page before.

That was my brain when everything had nowhere to go.
No outlet. No release. Just noise.

Now?

I don’t try to silence it.
I take it outside.

Cold water. Mountains. fresh air.
I let it burn out of me instead of bottling it up.

I go first.
Then I bring the kids.

Half feral sea witch energy 🌊
