Chapter 14
Two weeks left
As the evening drew in, my father was experiencing sharp pains in the right-hand side of his abdomen. I tucked him up, ready for bed, and said, “Dad, if you need me in the night, please wake me up; I don’t mind.” He agreed, and we said good night.
Saying goodnight to my dad never got old, and I truly loved tucking him up in his chair for the night.
The soft light was his comfort as he sat wide awake, ruminating on middle-of-the-night anxieties. Although no one is ever truly alone, it felt that way. Extreme silence. No sounds to drown out the hissing of tinnitus. Painful isolation. Everyone's souls have drifted to higher planes, yet his stays locked to his body. No astral climbing or energetic rewiring. Just silence. Isolation. Chair. Him.
You can't hide or run away from the truth when there is nowhere to go or no one to distract you. I reckon this is why insomnia has its place. Like a senior citizen sitting down to think. Delve into what one can change and ultimately what one must surrender to.
“I am okay with it,” said Colin.
Insomnia would ask, “Really?”
Are you really okay with it, Colin? Surrendering to the great unknown after sixty-seven years of survival…
There are no schools in the West that teach a human being how to die. The ultimate surrender. Albeit you are okay with it, insomnia questions.
Now let me ask you again, Colin, “Are you okay with it?”
“No, I’m not okay with it. In fact, I'm petrified. Lost in the repetitive loops of my ego. Chained to the torture. Hypnotised by its theatre.”
Well, now is the time, Colin, to listen to your heart instead of your head. What does your heart say, Colin?”
This back-and-forth mental chatter must have taken place. I know it did for me. I was only in the next room, a few feet away. Yet emotionally, he was metaphorically in Thailand, and I was in England at the airport drop-off.

There is nothing to fear. I repeat, “There is nothing to fear.” Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Let that sink in. Engage with the words by articulating them clearly, allowing their resonance to influence your presence and potentially alter your immediate environment, because this is the truth. This is the reality we live in. What is being portrayed on social media, the news, the schooling system, and every other programming propaganda there is, which includes religions, is a false reality. A reality in which the darkness of false illusions that demand our low vibrational energy creates more and more situations and circumstances for us to fear. Death, birth, sickness, poverty, crime, separation, law, and order. It is all fear-based and all lies. Their lies. Not ours, but theirs. More importantly, once we see through the fear-based illusions that keep us enslaved to their rhythm, we are free to create fearlessly. We are free to live our lives in joy and bliss. We have always been free. Watch a child and see how they interact with life. That’s freedom, and that’s our birthright. Therefore, turn off the news, the radio, in fact, anything with a screen that’s creating fearful feelings within, and listen to your soul. Listen to uplifting music. Educate your children from the land, in the kitchen, and at home, where they belong with their family. Be the change the world craves. Detach from the programming that runs so deeply entrenched in our ancestral lineage, and change humanity back to a state of joy and love, step by step, moment to moment, together. There will be opposition, I know this for a fact, but do not fear this either. Stand strong in your power and remember there is nothing to fear. Trust your instinct instead of the social quo. Maintain confidence in your knowledge and let informed intuition guide your decisions. Not everyone is on this path, and that’s okay; however, continue to be authentic, and watch your tribe gravitate toward you. The time is now, it always has been, and it always will be, within every breath you breathe. Draw it in fearlessly and relax into the certainty that there is nothing to fear.

So, this is the first cover draft for Flori and the Frog, hand drawn by the new illustrator!!!
I would love to know your honest thoughts?
I have recommended her eyes being softer at the edges and her thighs a little smaller to suggest she is between the age of 8 to 10.

Apart from that I am so excited to see the second draft 🙌 😄

To me, the power of forgiveness does not embody any power. To forgive is to love unconditionally. This demolishes duality, right and wrong, which contradicts unconditional love (without conditions). So, there was nothing to forgive at the deepest god-like level, only to remember my unconditional love for him. And every time I fell into my egoic, fearful, and lack mindset, I remembered love.

LOVE

Despite all the cynicism, love survives and always will.
We need a dose of realism, but the truth can be a bitter pill.
All the times we go through hell and tell them how our poor heart bleeds.
Just because we cannot tell love apart from selfish needs.
Every sacrifice we make. Every hour that we invest.
Is it really for love's sake? Or could it be self-interest?
The doubt, the agony, the tears. Avoiding what we've always known.
The truth, the worst of all our fears. That sometimes we must stand alone.

Once upon a time, there was a girl who lived in a wood hut down by the sea. Her name was Flori, and she was born lucky.

She didn’t have silver, sterling, or gold. She had a different type of luck that could never be sold.

She was friends with the forest, the birds, and the bees. She knew of her berries, cherries, and trees.

Nature and its healing were given for free when she drank from Earth's waters and foraged for her tea.

Simple and easy were her strategies for befriending her lifestyle so graciously.

Rooted in her mother and connected to the sky. Heavenly Father guided her from way up high.

At night, the stars entertained, and the moon lit the way, so her dreams felt safe as they came out to play.

Dancing and drumming set the scene—an ancestral remembrance while she dreamed.

And when she awoke, she was happy and humbled. She knew her path, and she never grumbled.

She belonged to the forest, the birds, and the bees. And she foraged for her breakfast, her lunch, and her tea.

FLORI AND THE FROG.

Once upon a time, there was a girl who lived in a wood hut down by the sea. Her garden was full of brambles, bird nests, and bees.
Deep into the acres surrounded by trees lived a cute little frog who snacked on berries.
When the girl passed the pond where the frog liked to swim, she invited him over for a snack fit for a King.
She spoke of a pie full of berries and cherries. The pastry puff would be so high, no doubt filling their bellies.
But the frog had a confession; he could no longer lie. He had eaten the berries, and the plants were bled dry.
The girl was shocked and asked the frog, "WHY?" But the frog did not answer; he just let out a sigh.
The tension between them was of an unfamiliar kind until the girl had an idea pop into her mind, and she said to the frog, "Don’t worry, it’s fine, come with me, and on our way, we shall find fallen apples and plenty of every kind. I will chop and bake until our hearts are combined. Then, we will fill up our bellies for supper time. Don't worry, Frog. All will be fine. Let me bake you a pie that will taste so divine.

Hi everyone. I have a hybrid publishing contract with Pegasus Publishers for my children's book Flori and the Frog. Their marketing team has advised me to create a page specifically for the book. So, here it is. I will post frequently about Flori, her stories, and her success.
Publishing can take up to a year and a half, but she is a short story, and I have no doubt that she will be in paperback form by the end of 2025!
Cheers to Flori and her best mate, Frog!
