Hobby Store Group is a growing and ambitious online retailer specialising in hobby products. We operate three storefronts catering for different hobbies and pride ourselves in offering a great service and bringing joy to customers. We launched in 2016 and our small team of 9 works remotely. *The role*
We’re seeking a stock controller, who will be responsible for our end to end process of replenishing stock, staying on top of ordering new product lines and ensuring our existing inventory keeps moving in good time. As a retail/e-commerce business, you are at the heart of the business ensuring we operate and grow as efficiently as possible. Our warehousing is handled by a third party logistics company, so this role will not involve working at the warehouse, however you will be liaising with them.
*Responsibilities*
- Owning forecasts and days of stock.
- Preparing routine orders and sending to our suppliers.
- Ensuring faster moving product lines do not sell out.
- Preparing advance stock notification and uploading to our warehouse management system.
- Identification of slow moving stock, optimising processes or pricing whilst working with the marketing team to ensure it keeps moving.
- Continuous improvement of processes and ensuring they are documented internally.
*Ideal candidate*
- You are analytical and love working with data.
- Experience with Excel is a must - particularly VLOOKUP functionality.
- Experience with ERP systems is beneficial, but not a must.
- Passionate about technology.
- Mindset of continuous improvement on processes and efficiency.
- Entrepreneurial, ambitious and a self-starter.
