1/12 Clone Lagoon Trooper - EP3 Concept Art
The first project voted by the community on Discord was the Lagoon Trooper from the Ep3 concept art.
Big thanks for the community and adding to this build as it progressed.
There was a fair bit of artistic license for this given much of the details are a little basic in the illustration.
We talked about the idea the Lagoon Troopers where something akin to Navy Seals or Royal Marine Commandos, the later for me influenced abit of the imagery as I imagined these guys wading in head high water, submerged then popping up to silently attack costal or swamp bases of the CIS.
I’m sure the keen eye of you can see an influence in the blaster too. We asked the community did they want a new blaster or and existing one and they voted for a new design.
Looking at the illustration it looked like the grip was very far forward toward the front of the blaster akin to a bull pup rifle. So taking the approach of using pre-existing gun parts to the DC-15S as a base here was the concoction.
I also concerted an OC Variant: Captain Ashdown who leads the a regiment of Lagoon Troopers.
What is the official deco design ? None you have the floor to imagine however they look, pure white or Legion colours.

1/12 Young Boba with Clone Custom Troopers Jango Fett
Base Body: Omega S1
3D Parts: Chest, Head and Flex Lower

A version of Boba that was missing from my Fett shelf that needed to be on there with Jango.
At first I thought it would be a simple repaint of Omega with a new head but the more I looked at the costume the more differences I saw there was so a new chest was needed plus a flex lower.
Really struggled with the head painting on this one, that I just could not nail, my first completed attempt didn’t pass muster so I went in with another go and we’ll pretty glad I did as this is much better, not perfect but that’s for more pea to be done.
Massive thanks too for giving me some guidance when I was really stuck.

1/12 Yavin Ceremony Luke Skywalker & Han Solo
With the master Shock Trooper clone heads.

The Han Solo is built on the ANH Han body with new arms plus a new 3d printed shirt.
Luke is a mix of the old Cermony Luke for the arms and jacket, Cassian Andor chest with ROTJ Luke Legs.

Had such a nightmare painting that yellow, so many issues with it that thankfully TamiyaUK paints came in clutch to rescue the day.

Super happy with how Hans pants came out in mimicking the Jean material from the costume.

Body: Cassian Andor Test Pilot

Making Red Leader was much easier than when I’d done Gold Leader.
This time I used matte Red primer as a base and then white for the highlight pass.
The Red primer really helped when adding on the orange Laqour paint as it meant I didn’t need as many layers.

The orange is used was pure orange Tamiya Laqour with matte red primer

1/12 ESB Snow Trooper

“Imperial troops have entered the base…imperial troo……”

As it’s so hot lets cool off a little with some Hoth action not hot
action, although let’s be honest, the snow troopers are pretty cool XD

As soon as i saw that Hasbro where making figures for the Mandalorian
and Grogu, i knew we would be getting a snow trooper buck, and well we
did, and NGL it is an amazing figure.
Its not quite ESB nor Mando & Groggy accurate mind you, it
incorporates bits from both costumes, much to the frustration im sure
of the costume department from Mando ;)

With that being said, i NEEDED and accurate ESB Snowtrooper on the
shelf, its been the one OT trooper ive been so desperate to remake, as
the OG snow trooper is so dated.

Fortunately, the new AT-RT Rider & Snowtrooper body is expertly
engineered to be such a joy to use as a base to add the new parts on
too and paint up, so its more ESB accurate.

Although the base figure did alot of the heavy lifting, i still had to
go in and make a new: helmet, chest armour, backpack + harness, ab
section & duster.

In researching for all the parts & decals, i noticed at how many
dressing issues the OG 80’s costumes had & when its been displayed in
museums & video games with parts on upside down & or 2 of the same
item etc.

He’s very mucky and so he should be, as the og costumes are very dirty in parts.

I think I’m on to the era of remakes and Disney era for costumes now :D

1/12 - Captain Kaido “I’m the trigger, you’re the finger”

Built on the Andor Imperial Officer Dark Times figure using a 3D
Printed head from our store, Captain Kaido, the trigger for the
Ghorman Massacre in Andor S2 is completed.

Captain Kaido, truly is one of the most sinister & clinical villains
of the Empire in Andor S2, with his duelling scare and icy cold stare.

I’ve been going over S1 again, whilst watching S2 off and on with Lou,
and every time I saw the basic Black Series figure on my shelf from
the Ferrix flashback scene in Andor 1 of this officer style, the more
i wanted Kaido or Tigo up on the shelf.

I made sure that the material of the poncho was more satin, it’s all
the same matte black primer colour, just with the fabric having a
ultra matte finish and the poncho having a satin finish on it.

The head I live-streamed, and whilst the eyes weren’t much of an
issue, which is surprising, it was the lips this time that caused me
some strain.

On he goes on to the Andor & R1 shelf :D

Correlia Escape Han Solo 1/12 Black Series Custom

Base figure: Cairo Escape Indy

So a figure I’ve not made before but did make a kit for awhile back.
I had to amend it to fit around the Raiders Cairo escape Indy which as a base figure has perfect arms and legs for the opening solo outfit

I used some fodder boots for his shoes and a spare Solo Mud Trooper Han for the head sculpt paired with the 3d parts I’d sculpted and printed out.

I’ve used pretty much only paints for this entire build (minus the face) and I love how vibrant and strong the pigments are along with the colour range in their starter set, I used a teal grey for the Mud / clay splatters

I used washes and panel lining in varies places to get that grime build up

Took a while to get this guy done but glad I did it bit by bit over time.

The Flex belt has detailed straps with a fabric material sculpt too it along with the det charger pouches, which comes all as one and a tiny bit bigger than out bly belt to allow a k**a to sit comfertable under it
