💚 A Little Update From Me 💚
I feel like a little blog update is needed.

It’s hard to believe that we’ve now been open in Warrington for a few weeks already. Since moving, we’ve had a chance to take a breath, look at what’s working, and make a few decisions moving forward.
One thing we have decided to do is update our opening hours. From now on, Gonk World Warrington will be open:
🕙 Monday to Saturday, 10am – 4pm
We have also decided to close on Sundays.
When you run a small family business, it can be very easy for every day to become a workday. Closing on Sundays gives me a chance to catch up on all the jobs that never seem to get done, organise stock, work on new ideas, and occasionally remember there is a world outside of Gonk World. 😆
Speaking of new ideas…
Since announcing our upcoming Gonk Immigration Day, my head has been full of them. Please keep follow us and stay tuned for event date updates 🙏🏻
This will actually be the first proper themed event I have ever created for Gonk World.
When I stop and think about it, it’s quite funny really.
I spent five years running a high-end events company, creating events for other people and celebrities, yet somehow I never found the time to create one for my own business.
So I’m changing that.
This year I’m taking Gonk World to the next level and creating events that bring our community together.
What started as a simple passport idea quickly grew into something much bigger.
The passport became a rewards programme.
The rewards programme became part of the event.
And then somehow a Resident of Gonk World T-Shirt joined the adventure too. 😆
Yesterday I officially started production of both the passports and the T-shirts, and today I was all day working on finalising last details and I am so excited to finally share them with you all.
I honestly wasn’t sure what the response would be.
Then the first orders started coming in.

Every order, comment and message reminds me why I love building this little world.
If you’re coming to Gonk Immigration Day, we’d absolutely love to see you wearing your Resident of Gonk World T-Shirt and bringing your passport along with you.

If you can’t make the event, please don’t worry.
Every resident of Gonk World deserves a passport, wherever they are. Your passport will still be sent to you and you’ll still be able to join in the adventure.
In fact, online supporters will be able to collect special stickers through future orders to add to their passports too.
And because none of this would exist without the people who supported us from the beginning, all existing supporters will be recognised as Founding Members of Gonk World.
You’ll receive a special Founding Member stamp or sticker to mark the fact that you were here before the passport programme even existed. 💚
Gonk Immigration Day won’t just be about shopping.
It’s about creating an experience, meeting fellow Gonk lovers, having a laugh, collecting stamps in your passports, and making memories together.
I’m also hoping to involve some of the other wonderful businesses in the building.
I’ve already been speaking to two local coffee shops who are interested in joining in the fun. The plan is for them to serve special drinks with Gonk-themed decorations, and one of the cafés is even looking at creating cupcakes topped with edible Gonk designs.
So while I’m trying to keep some surprises under wraps for now, I can tell you that I’m working hard behind the scenes to make this a really fun day for everyone who comes along.
After all, if we’re going to have a Gonk Immigration Day, we might as well do it properly. 😆💚
I also have another little update for those of you who keep asking when I’ll be back on TikTok Live.
I’m very excited to say that we’re finally making progress.
One of the things holding us back has been our broadband situation. I’ve now managed to get our old broadband contract cancelled, which means we can finally start arranging broadband for the new shop.
As soon as that’s installed, I’ll be able to jump back on TikTok Lives and catch up with you all properly. Hopefully over the summer, while things are a little quieter, we’ll have plenty of opportunities for a chat, a browse around the shop, and maybe a little Gonk shopping too. 😊
I’m also waiting for lots of new stock to arrive. Between the new arrivals and everything we’re preparing for Gonk Immigration Day, there’s going to be plenty of exciting things happening over the next few weeks.
The only thing still slowing us down a little is storage.
At the moment, whenever we need extra stock, I still have to travel back to Mansfield to collect it. It’s not ideal, but it’s only temporary. We’re hoping to have our storage situation sorted within the next couple of weeks so we can move everything over, get organised properly, and make life a lot easier.
One final piece of good news before I finish this update.
I’m not sure if I mentioned it before, but Gonk World became the first small business to reach 100,000 views on the Warrington Worldwide page, and within our first week we were invited to receive an award.
To say I was surprised would be an understatement. 😊
When we moved to Warrington, we knew nobody. We were starting from scratch in a completely new town, so to receive that kind of support so quickly has been incredibly special.
A huge thank you to everyone at Warrington worldwide for supporting local businesses and helping us share our story.

Who knows, maybe you’ll be collecting one of their awards too one day. 🏆💚
It’s amazing how much happens behind the scenes that nobody ever sees, but little by little we’re getting there.
